What's your favorite biographical movie?
I recently saw Nowhere Boy - the story of John Lennon's youth. I never knew about the issues he faced with his mother and aunt. Not saying it's my favorite biographical movie, but it was interesting.
If I had to choose one, I would probably go with The Aviator - another movie which I learned a great deal from about Howard Hughes.
What's your favorite?
Derek - LOL! Not too sure about that, buddy!

I actually saw "His Big White Self" on Hulu.com the other day, about the South African white supremacist Eugene Terreblanche. Really interesting!

Good question! There are a lot of very good biopics. I'd say "Beyond the Sea" is my favorite. Kevin Spacey plays Bobby Darin and the film is put together in an imaginative way.

The World's Fastest Indian. It's about the later life of Bert Monroe from Invercargill, New Zealand and his bid to break the 200mph mark on a vintage motorcycle.
How about Born Free? You didn't say that the subject of the biography had to be human.

I like most of them. If I hear a movie is based on a true story, it makes me want to see it.
I'm surprised no one named 'Goodfellas'
Usually right after one of those 'based on a true story' movies is over, I feel compelled to run over to IMDB.com and read the trivia section, which usually lists which parts were embellished for the movie.
edit: You never saw 'Laurence of Arabia'? Great movie, a bit long, but a great movie

Walk the Line. It's actually one of my favorite movies ever. Milk and Donnie Brasco are among some of my favorites also.

Passion of the Christ. Oh wait, what?
Well how about Waynes World or Wall-E?
No, March of the Penguins then.
