What will happen with the end of tax credits ?

I am a lone parent through no fault of my own with 3 children and i am sick with worry. Tax credits are more than half of my income. How will I be able to feed my children when they are cut ? I live in a very deprived area in a small village so there are very few jobs available, and the kids are small.

As far as I know there are no plans to cut tax credits for people in your situation. There are plans to cut the amount given to people earning over £50,000 a year. I am sure you will be OK. So don't worry.

Single parents will give up work because of the loss of child care/ plus living expenses. People will reduce spending on little luxuries and sevices that will destroy jobs. Those with cash will save forcing up interest rates that will force home reposessions to a massive level. Crime will explode. Before all this happens there will be massive unrest and a new election will take place next year and people will see the 1980s and 2010 as the proof any Tory goverment being a vast mistake and should never happen again. Lib dems will be dead already. Result Utopia.

Tory coverage on tax credit varies. In essence i think of they hate them, yet cant think of of the thank you to get rid of them without frightening countless human beings. i think of they could initiate with a narrowing of who's eligible, then a help interior the point of income. on the 2d the respectable stance is supportive of Tax credit, yet which will exchange, in the event that they get the possibility. Their objections are in keeping with flawed philosophical reasoning approximately desirous to motivate aspiration. A noble thought and that's nicely worth getting human beings to help themselves with the aid of aiming greater. inspite of the shown fact that, there'll continually be those for whom this would in basic terms be a dream. there'll continually be somebody mandatory to do the grimy paintings; the low paid paintings. The Conservatives would desire to be attentive to that. Tax credit have inspired many human beings to get paintings and rancid job seekers allowance. It has enabled them to take jobs that ought to ideally be a decrease income than difficulty-unfastened reward. i do no longer think of Tax credit are presently labored out very nicely. i be attentive to persons who've a stable income, who get them, because of the fact they have infants. We get a tiny tax credit of £7 each week. that's because of the fact we've not any childrens. It does advise that we are effectively penalised for no longer breeding. besides, they gained't be creating countless noise approximately their plans, yet they'll at last decrease down on TCs, possibly even ending them.

Were there no single parent families on welfare before labour? or single parent families on a low income? Labour only gave back what was yours to take in the first place, they made out like Blair was the pope giving out the Eucharist "take this in memory of me, for this is my body" Tax credits may end and some other scheme will take its place. Any government has a welfare priority to its own people first (excluding labour of course) top 3 expenditures are welfare NHS and defense. Its worked that way for the last 60 odd years, the tories aren't going to throw you and your babies out on the cobbles. Just another scheme and more paperwork thats all.

Do not believe the Labour cr@p that has almost kept them in power. Children didn't starve in the 80's or 90's when they were last in power, they certainly aren't going to now.

There are no immediate plans to scrap tax credits

  • Well you've bought into the scare tactics of Labour. Tax credits will only be stopped for high earners over £50,000 p.a.

you are going to be OK. Scare mongering has gone on to people that are vulnerable and you are worried by a Labour campaign, have no fear the Cons respect you and are not going to forget you.

You will pay more tax and the Tories will make sure you remain as poor as a church mouse
