Can't type of microsoft office word 7?
Whenever I try to type anything else it says "this section is locked." How can I fix it? I really need to finish this for my english assignment!
It's not pirated! Seriously, I wouldn't know how to get it illegally even if I wanted to. I haven't seen anything about a product key either...

That sounds like a trial copy of Microsoft Office that was good for 25 uses (of all Office programs combined) or 60 days. At the end of that time it stops letting you edit your files or create new ones. You have to purchase Microsoft Office 2007, or at least Word 2007, to do that.
Note: The 25-character product key on the computer case or laptop bottom is NOT the key for MS Office. It’s only for the Windows operating system.
Here are some of your options for paying less than full price for Microsoft Office 2007:
First, if you're a student, you may qualify for the Ultimate Steal edition of Office at a pretty good price ($59.95):

Second, if you’re interested in buying just Word, check out this URL, especially the second group of listings.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/FX10175...
Note that the higher of the two prices quoted is for a full version of that program and the lower, for upgrades from existing software. Read the list of upgrade-qualifying software carefully: MS Works is often one, and may have come on your machine.
Finally, if you're willing to spend a little to save a little, Microsoft Works is available in stores for about $40.00. You could buy a copy, install it, then buy Office at the upgrade level. I think you'd come out ahead. Note that the upgrade copy probably checks your machine for Works' presence, so don't get rid of it after you've installed Office. You never know when you're going to have to reinstall Office.
Also, if you have files that are locked up in the new Word 2007 file format (.docx), here’s a possibility for salvaging them. Microsoft offers a free Compatibility pack that allows earlier versions of Word (and Microsoft Works) to read and write Word 2007 files. If you have access to an earlier version, this can at least give you back your documents. Some new features of Word 2007 will be lost or converted to straight text in the conversion to the earlier version.
Good luck.

If your software is not pirated, you purchased it -- correct?
If you purchased it via download, somewhere along the line you had to pay for it and were then issued a product key.
If you purchased it via the boxed version, you were given a CD which was protected in an envelope, which had a sticker displaying the product key.
If the software came with your computer, you have been working with a trial version which you would be allowed to use for 30-60 days. After that time, the software would be disabled, you would have to purchase a license, and would be given a product key
Which is it? More information needed.
If you do not wish to purchase MS Office, you can immediately download the absolutely free Open Office which is compatible with MS.

It can be for two reason: (try and see which one applies to you)
REASON ONE: Your trial period expire
The Office software came with your laptop/PC as a FREE option. Normally its not a FREE version of the product, but a trial version and the trial period expire. You can open the files but you wont be able to edit it. Your solution is to
• Buy a office suite license cost $400-$700 depending on the edition (students edition is cheaper $150) or buy only the full WORD product cost $229
Check http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX1017545...
• You have a FREE option, and it is to use OPENOFFICE, with it you can save your files as office files. The OPENOFFICE suite has:
WRITER similar to word, CALC similar to excel, IMPRESS similar to powerpoint, DRAW similar to Publisher, BASE similar to Access
Get it at http://download.openoffice.org/index.html
REASON TWO
Your document is protected (in a way only know by microsoft you protected your document), to unprotect it then:
• From the RIBBON, select the REVIEW tab
• Move to the right to the PROTECT group and click PROTECT DOCUMENT. From the drop-down list under RESTRICT PERMISSION select UNRESTRICTED ACCESS
and thats it.

anti virus utility is ineffective. maximum do no longer even hit upon or thoroughly get rid of the severe malicious crap out now. the acceptable and maximum specific thank you to get your working equipment lower back so as is to re-set up or format your OS and lower back up all significant archives earlier you do. There are some nasty nivrus' available that disable your administration panel and get rid of administrative use administration and broswer hijacks (redirecting virus) there is too lots that even malwarebytes won't p.c.. up on. p.s do no longer waste your money finding out to purchase an working equipment. take a associates or burrow somebody elses or basically acquire the torrent or some element and re-set up. shouldn't take too long. spending 200 bux for OS is kinda ineffective till you're a consultant hectic approximately copyright and licensing rules at an enterprise or copany yet for inner maximum use it relatively is unquestionably form of stupid finding out to purchase an OS
