Can I change my earrings?

It's been four weeks since I've gotten my ears pierced, but I'm going to prom today and I really want to change my earrings to prettier ones that match my dress! My boyfriend bought me a pair earlier that matched my necklace, so I really wanted to change to those....

So even though Claire's told me I had to wait 6 weeks, are they going to close back up or get infected if I change them really quickly just for prom?

Thanks!!

you'll be totally fine. i pierced my own second hole on my ear lobe and took it out after three weeks to clean it and everything was fine. just be sure to disinfect.

Personally, I did the same thing for a school dance but in 3 days my ears closed back up. It won't get infected because you just pierced them, but you should wait a couple of weeks more until your ears get used to the earrings. But if you're willing to pierce your ears again, why not? But just be aware. Because right after prom, disinfect your ears and then switch back to your old earrings. Or you could just keep those earrings on, and remember to disinfect day and night!

I got my ears pierces at Claires and they told me to watit 4-6 weeks before changing them. I changed mine at two weeks... Big mistake. It took them a lot longer to heal. But, if you have had yours for 4 weeks, they should be fine. Just disinfect them after you put your old ones back in.

They shouldn't close up, as long as you put the new ones in as soon as you take the old ones out.

Well when i got my second hole pierced I change my earrings after 4 weeks. and nothing really happen. they didn't close back up. So i guess you should be fine if you remove them and put new ones on, As longest as you disinfect them and take care of you'll be fine. =]
