Saturn on 5-15-10...Did I see?

Saturn on 5-15-10...Did I see a ring shadow?I was looking at 171x with an

XT10.I had some shimmer but Im sure I had seen the shadow of the rings...Is this passable?

    Yes, probably you did. I saw it a few weeks ago with my 11-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain at 175x. It looked like a thin black line drawn across the disk of Saturn.

    Most likely yes...its not difficult to see the rings' shadow on the planet when they're tiltied at a convenient angle.

    yes,saturn and jurpiter is very cool to look at,I like wacthing the moons of jurpiter change from nite to nite.
