John and Paul read an article in a newspaper about a girl who left home. Musicians played 4 violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos, 1 double bass and 1 harp.

the song is about a girl that lives with her parents. she is given everything she could want as her parents by her love instead of showing her love and having fun in her life. she spends all of her time alone until she can take it no longer and decides to leave home to have fun and enjoy life. her family just doesn't know what they did wrong and why she left home. this is just what i get out of this song.
