How long does it take to get over a divorce?

Met this awesome girl on line. We got along so well and we seemed perfect for each other. She is such an amazing person and is a wonderful mother of 2 beautiful girls. After we met she realized she still had unresolved issues and feelings for her ex who cheated on her and is now about to have a baby with his new girl.  She  told me she needed to spend some time just doing herself for a while?  She is such a special person and I really like her. Will she ever be over him and do I have any shot with her?

Sounds like she just wants an out...sorry, Ive used the " i need time for myself, to figure things out" line. She might really need time, and when shes done and over it, if she contacts YOU then she is interested. Otherwise id just forget it for now..

eventually she will get over him. however, he will never be out of her life because of the children they have together. you have to understand that you can love this woman very much. but can you understand and deal with him always being in her life? deep love is a great thing. but love is not always enough. be realistic, and understand your own limitations.  there will always be drama with her children's father. can you deal with that emotionally? can your friends and family deal with that?
