Artist publicity stunt?
What do you think would happen to an artists sales if, as a living artist, he legally changed his name to "the late (name withheld)" as a publicity stunt? Since artwork is more valuable after the artist is dead, I think it would be a good publicity stunt. He would, of course, not pretend to be dead- that would be deceitful.

And changing your name as a publicity stunt is NOT deceitful?
I'm afraid this is a case of situational ethics. "The term, "deceitful" only applies to where I want it and to what other people do. In MY case, it doesn't apply to ME."
