Are Eastern Newts Poisonous to Humans?
I touched a caught eastern newt a while ago and I want to know it they are harmful. I would really appreciate knowing if little Charmander is going to kill me.
Actually I have done reasearch, and I do know how to take care of it. I know that this species is poisonous, but I just want to know if the poison is harmful.

No, Eastern Newts are not poisonous or toxic to humans. However of course if you ate it or handled it with broken skin, you will get sick.

No, they most certainly are fine. However it needs to be released because if you think newts are poisonous/venomous then you obviously have done little research on this critter and cannot properly caare for it.

Yes. You definitely should not eat one.
(More seriously, just wash your hands after handling them, as you might have some irritation if you stick your finger in your eye after touching one).
