Is Rand Paul now the American leftists fear most?

The voice of American reason! This guy is going to be BIG! Think his father Ron, but grounded in pragmatism!

Update:

This guy is the most articulate, common-sense, unflappable, and focused candidate I've seen in many years. We're looking at the first win of a future president!

I doubt it idiots on here call me a Liberal every day, but I fully support Rand Paul, and his father.

The Pauls are the only Politicians I have any faith in.

Yes, because he is stealing Libertarian Democratic votes!

@shortbus: note the (R) after Rand Paul's name. There is no split; the Republican Party is being exorcised of progressives, who will either become conservative or become democrats, like Arlen Specter (How'd that work out for him, btw?)

    Why would we fear him?

He won a republican primary in a state that has about 600,000 more registered Democrats than it does Republicans.

..and he wants to abolish the department of education, among other things. I think he's in for a much tougher election than you all think.

    No, not really.

Considering that both democrat candidates got more votes than Rand Paul, I don't think he'll be going anywhere.

no, the pauls have some good ideas and i'm a liberal. the tea party and independants are the best thing in a hundred years to happen to us liberals for they are splitting the con party into 3 smaller parties and we LIBERALS are united. LOVE THAT WORD LIBERAL

  • no they fear the poor finally waking up and realizing they have been sold a big lie by people who only stay in power by keeping them poor

No it is still Sarah and the Tea Party.~

  • No. The right hates Ron Paul so I'm sure his son will be no different.
