opinions on the fact that this weeks american idol result show has been cut to a half hour show?

Strange - because I get to see 1 hour of it tonight on the Louisville affiliate.

Personally, I am glad that it will only be a half hour. Being a high school student, it makes it difficult for me to stay awake and watch the entire results episode, plus get a proper amount of sleep for school the next day. Most of the performances on the result show are groups that I'm not interested in. I would rather know who gets kicked off and be done with it rather than telling the contestants one by one that they are safe. There is no need for an hour long episode.

It's been an hour all season, I doubt they will change the format in the middle of the season. I agree with you though, just get down to the results, enough with the fillers. Some times I don't tune in until the end on results night just to see who went home.

I think they are doing a half hour show to get it over and done with for America to find out who the top 2 is.

Yay :) There is no need for an hour when there are only 3 contestants, I am happy about it, I didn't know until now!
