I am a smoker of 22 years and I recently?
got a prescription for Chantix. I have heard so many negative things about the nasty side effects that I don't know what's worse... Well I do, but how do I start Chantix and give it a far shot without freaking out from hearing all the negativity? Please respond if you have personal experience as well. Thanks to all who answer.

Well I'm not personally a smoker but my teacher has told me that
he had REALLY vivid nightmares using Chantix. When he would go
to bed he would believe that there were things like giant spiders in the
same room as him and he would wake up screaming and sweating from
how real it was. Anyways my teacher's a retired doctor so I think it's fair
to believe him. He's been smoking since his teens and from his experience
I can tell you with a certainty that Chantix might have some unwanted side effects.
However this might not happen to you so keep this in mind when
deciding whether or not to use Chantix.

You will have to pass and notice a surgeon approximately that phlegm, on account that I've on no account heard of tan colored phlegm. But I do not believe it would be a signal of lung melanoma. Lung melanoma takes for much longer than three or four years to increase - so much folks who get identified with it had been smoking for a minimum of 30 years, and they are almost always a minimum of forty five. If you had lung melanoma, you would be coughing typically consistently, now not simply a couple of times an afternoon - I imply, I cough a couple of instances an afternoon, but it surely does not imply I have lung melanoma (I'm 20 and a non-smoker!) - and there is a threat you would have coughed up blood. But after three or four years smoking, lung melanoma is not most likely. Maybe in an extra 30 years regardless that. So I'd give up smoking if you are concerned approximately it. However, your probabilities of having lung melanoma will pass up greatly for those who preserve to smoke. Stopping smoking would type out your phlegm trouble too.

Maybe you should use a drug that doesn't have a reputation for making you killing yourself OR giving you lung cancer. Here's a little bit about the lawsuits against Chantix.
