The biggest problem we have with these boiler ia a dry joint on the pcb, which reqs the pcb to be reset often. You need to get some one in who knows what they are doing to pinpoint the exact fault, ie soft lite ignition, thermistor resistance, air pressure switch continuity should all be checked, but with it being intermittent it sounds like your pcb requires changing. I have changed loads of these for the fault you have described , but not before making sure everything else is as it should be .

Hello Crazy.
Don't listen to people who say that you have to have a Gas Safe person to work on your boiler.
You only need Gas Safe if you are working on a gas fitting or a flue.
The best boiler diagnostic people are front line electricians as most modern boiler faults are electrical faults.
Find a quality electrician to follow the flow chart and diagnose the problem.
Most gas fitters know as much about electrics as I do about quantum physics.
Anyway up it's your PCB.

As I have said many times.
Take the PCB. out and send it to Farnwing Contracts in Wales.
They will repair the PCB. and return it to you within 3 days for a fraction of the cost of a new PCB.
Once you have the PCB. set up by experts you will not have any more problems.
As another answerer says it is normally just a dry joint caused by boiler manufacturers using sweat shops to produce their PCB's.

You cannot touch it yourself as it will be illegal. If you are in the UK , A 'Gas Safe' heating engineer will be the best person. Gas Safe replaced the old 'Corgi' registered domestic engineers.

I am afraid you will need to contact a qualified Gas Safe engineer. I believe you have tried as much as you can.
