ever notice that motorcops are jerks?
Here in Phoenix A police officer in a patrol car will often times give you a break. But if that motor cop has to get off that bike he is going to write you up! And those guys NEVER wave back to a biker who waves at them!
Not saying I dont deserve a ticket, but sometimes there isnt any traffic and W.T.F. have a little fun right? The cop in the car will usually cut ya some slack!

You're right. Phoenix bike cops are pricks. They pull you over like you're going to run...one or two will pull up on the rear, and one to the left will swerve into you and force you off the road....I'm surprised they dont cause more accidents. I think they cant wave back because of department rules, it would be showing bias to the motorcyclists, or something.....I got pulled over on the loop 101 by Grand Ave. for doing 80 in a 65, and the cop said he radar'd me, in a group of 6 bikes, taking up 2 lanes, and I was in the middle, on the outside. What a bunch of BS. I did however get let go....they got a call, jumped on their bikes, and left me standing on the 101 at 12:30am. Guess I was lucky that night....LOL.
Thank god the photo radar cameras are coming down in July!

Riding all day on that BMW with the heat poring off the engine while wearing a helmet in triple digit temperature might tend to make one cranky. But yea, I've never heard of a moto cop giving a warning.

I have found that traffic cops (both bike and car) are usually more tolerant than the standard plod in the UK. If you step off the bike, take off your helmet before they arrive and answer the questions truthfully and contritely they are more likely to let you off – especially if the bike is obviously well looked after.

I've travelled all across Canada and the US.I've been stopped in every province and state in north america and it seems to me you are right. For some reason motor cops have a chip on their shoulders.I think they feel that motor patrol is a demotion. They don't realize that it's a privilege to ride every day and get paid to do so.All they see is their piers riding around in air-conditioned cars out of the heat of the day and don't fully experience the true freedom of riding the open road.

Most of these guys have just completed the motor cycle training school.
If you pay attention to the way they ride is apparent they really don't have a lot experience under there belt.
You'll see the same attitude in a lot of nu bee riders, once they come close to being taken out by a cage they will loosen up. If they survive.
Give the cops a break your only risking your life to ride.
They are risking there lives to make your ride safer.

Never been pulled over by a moto-cop. I generally don't give them a reason to pull me over.
If you are violating the traffic laws, then you are asking to be ticketed.
Why is that such a hard concept to understand?

"But if that motor cop has to get off that bike he is going to write you up"
And?
They stopped you because you were committing a violation. If they write you up, they're only doing their job.
What part of that is being a jerk? Try NOT breaking the law next time.....
