what do I need to run movies on my old laptop?
I had to replace the hard drive and installed Linux Ubuntu everything seems to work except if I go to watch a movie the laptop is an Acer 3680 and my finances are very limited so any help would be appreciated by the way I am not very good with vocabulary so please make it simple? I do not have internet access so it is hard to download things for it ( I am using my work computer )

You will have to install the proper video codecs to play dvds.
You might have to download the files to a usb flash drive and then copy them to your home computer.
