I just got a 3 TB external hard drive and am curious about being able to read and write onto it with all my computers. We have a multitude of them running different operating systems and need to combine all the files between them.

The computer was a "throw away"and all it needed was a new OS first I installed linux mint (which works great )but the person I'm giving it to is a total windoze lover so I installed a copy of win7ultimate for her alas the sound is not working .any suggestions? The computer is an old S50 IBM very low powered 1 GB ram 40 GB HDD but vit will help her as she is on a fixed income.

I recently picked up an old ibm that had XP on it but the HDD crashed ,so I installed another HDD along with windows 7 .Now thew sound is completely gone and it says there is no sound devices installed?!?

I am trying to learn a new OS and want to know which one would be the most user friendly Bilk you for all I can Gates can just suffer with a FEW LESS BUCKS IN HIS POCKET 5 computers times $350 I think not

I have installed it into Ubuntu and everytime I try to burn a video to disc I get a flash like cannot be found or the file is in an unknown format WTH?? is going on. I am new to linux systems so please keep it simple thanks

I am just getting tired of paying through the nose to Bill ya Later Gates & his merry band of thieves but I have no real experience with other OS like Linux or Mac. I can buy the OEM in Edmonton for $195 or retail for $345 now WHAT is the difference really? Or should I just go online and buy a product Key from Ebay for around $40 ? (I already have a windows 7 trial that I need to register )?
