Need advice on buying 3D LED TV?

I am visiting UK next month and I wish to buy a 3D LED TV from there. Currently, the Samsung latest LED TV has really pulled my attention.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003JEVQRK/ref=...

It's quiet affordable at under 1000£ and falls into my budget, so is Samsung a good brand?

I own a Sony Bravia 32" LCD in my other room and a Hitachi Plasma in the Living room and both work great, but I really need a replacement since the Hitachi is 5 years old.

So can you recommend me any better TV ATM in the same price??? It should be 40" and should have 3D (have a PS3 and am awaiting the 3D update). I don't think Sony has launched 3DTVs as of now, but knowing Sony, their price tag will always be nearly 1.5 times that of Samsung.

So what do you recommend? Are Samsung TVs great or should I wait more to see what other brands have to show.

If you're looking to buy a 3D TV right now, definitely go with the Samsung. They make good TVs that match Sony quality at a better price. Yes, the Sonys that are on the way in a few months will be more expensive.

If you want to take you time and try to get a better price, you could wait until the end of the year when most everyone has their new TVs out and see what there is, but you probably won't see one at this price with this kind of quality.

But then again, maybe the Samsungs will be on sale then. Depends on when you you are ready to buy.

cinema glasses will only work provided that the tv is passive 3d otherwise 99% of them are active 3d which is where it gets expensive. LG do a really good set at the moment that is passive 3d in whixh you get 7 yes 7 pairs of glasses in the tv box its self & you can add more to the set up as you need to for very little cost. Plasma or LCD the debate goes on it depends entirely on what you watch as to what would be recommended Plasma is usually movies & sports due to its faster response times LCD is usually if you watch normal tv i.e. corrie, eastenders etc I'm getting an LG - they make most of the parts for other manufacturers with panasonic being the exception PS Comet & Curry are NOT obliged to show you certain models we try to match up a model that is most suitable to your need that you tell us about e.g you like sport or you dont like sport
