Question about networking hardware?
We are getting ready to move and I found I have tons of coax cable, various RCA adapters, many USB and USB to "Other" conversion cables, as well as phone cords, power cords and other misc wires and cords.
Should I just throw these away? Is there any value to them? They are no longer in use in my home or office but perfectly functional, some have never even been opened.

Why not offer them on Freecycle? Someone might find them useful.

Take this with a grain of salt since I'm a Swamp Yankee and a natural hoarder.
Do not throw them out. Pack them away neatly. Try as much wireless as you can where it is most convenient. Many printers, keyboards and mice are cordless now and this I find is very convenient and cuts clutter. I am in charge of maintaining a research lab and find that sometimes though rarely, chords go bad or you need a chord for something and can't find it right away at a vendor. I keep old serviceable chords neatly coiled and in a safe place.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT THROW THEM AWAY! some cables can be extremely expensive and sometimes hard to find. Throw them in a box and put 'em on craigslist or take them to a yard sale and sell the whole bundle for $5/10. It'd get them out of your hands and possibly get you a small profit. OR keep them, you never know what you might need in the future.
PS- send them to me if you want to get rid of them for free! =]

And utility must be any application or driving force that helos you to get entry to or to be a piece of a community

In my opinion you should keep a couple for yourself just in case the need comes later. The other you could give away to family or friend or church that has a need.
Just a suggestion.

Aint no way I would throw them out. About the time you do, you'll most assuredly find you needed one of them and they aint cheap.

Try selling them or see if anybody is willing to recycle them for you. I wouldn't throw them away if I were you.
