is anyone experiencing period like bleeding and is pregnant?

I experienced this with my second child and freaked out. The dr. did not seem that concerned, and after the one time occurrence, I had an uneventful pregnancy and a healthy baby.

It's not exactly "common" but it's not unheard of, either. Give your doc a call if you need to, to put your mind at ease.

Around 6-7 weeks into my pregnancy I started bleeding like a full fledged period flow. I went to the ER and was told that I was more than likely having a miscarriage. After days and days of ultrasounds and blood work checking my HGC levels the bleeding finally stopped right before Christmas. It lasted about 2.5 weeks. I am now 32 weeks pregnant and besides the fact that he is large for his age and I have extra amniotic fluid all is well.

At 14 weeks I started spotting brown and then it went to red. The next day I passed a huge brown clot that scared me to death. I just knew I had lost my baby. I bled a little bit after the clot came out.

My son is now 4 and very healthy. Turns out I had a small tear in the placenta.

With my first I bled the first month I was pregnant when my period was due, so of course I didn't know I was pregnant until a couple weeks later. I only had it the one time with my first, and not at all with #2 ( I am 10 weeks now)

I have had no bleeding during my pregnancy however my fiance's grandmother had period like bleeding throughout both her pregnancies and delivered very healthy babies. I wish the best of luck to you!!
