Avid herp hobbyist for many years, specializing in bearded dragons. I have read just about every piece of literature that exists in books (including veterinary texts) and on the internet about beardies, so I feel I am a good judge when it comes to weeding out the bad info and only using the good. I do beardie rescue and have brought several sickly beardies back from the brink of death and made them into happy and healthy pets. I am very passionate about providing the right care for these guys and especially about doing LOTS of research on any animal before you bring it home.

  • Is there any one argument against gay marriage that is not based in religious belief?

I have never heard a single opposition to gay marriage (or gay relationships in general) that weren't faith based. How can we make laws based on people's religious beliefs? Doesn't that violate the separation of church and state?

  • Running out of creative juices...?

I need reasons why one's lip might get bruised or busted.

They can be real reasons, funny reasons, outlandish reasons, impossible to life reasons. Really, just anything.

    Thanks!

  • Gamecube Game recommendations...?

My son is a mature and intelligent 8 yo. He likes dinosaurs, monsters, dragons (things of that nature), Star Wars, shooting type games.

What Gamecube games can you recommend that I can get him for Christmas?

Also, is Resident Evil too difficult for that age? (He loves scary movies, I think he'd love it.)

I have a pic on Y360 and it used to work but now it doesn't. When I edit my profile, I can't even select the Y360 option, even though I have a 360 account and have a pic on there....

    WHY???

  • What artist is in your MP3/CD/Media player at this moment?

I have very eclectic tastes in music...my latest downloads are from Jamiroquai and Jason Mraz, but last week it was Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash. I love finding new music...I plan to download at least one song from each artist mentioned in your answers...

  • What do you think of my tattoo?

    http://www.ratemyink.com/?action=ssp&pid=27723

    My first one!!

To the tattoo naysayers, don't bother lecturing me on your opinions of why people shouldn't get them...obviously I already have it so your efforts are wasted.

  • Am I a terrible parent?

My son (7yo) was severely misbehaving so I told him to take a time out. He refused. Well, I'm the parent so if I say to take a time out, then he's going to take a time out!! Since he refused, I physically restrained him police-style...I had him lying on his stomach, I sat on his back and held his hands behind him so he couldn't hit me or move away.

I did this after I tried just holding him (he was kicking and squirming too much to hold him like that). And I wasn't putting my weight on him to hurt him and I wasn't pulling his arms, just holding them. He was hurting himself by struggling against me. But when I had him on the groud he started screaming that it hurt so my husband comes in a sees me sitting on the boy.

Hubby thinks that was way too extreme to get our son on the ground "like a criminal" as he put it.

Well, I don't believe in spanking and if he refuses to go along with his consequences, what else can I do?

Was it too much to hold him down to make him behave?

  • If we could make a sticky thread in the tattoo category...?

What would the questions be that everyone asks over and over?

    What tattoo should I get?

How do I take care of a new tattoo?

Where can I find tattoo designs online?

How do you get rid of a tattoo?

    Do tattoo removal creams work?

Which other question would we put so that no one ever asked it again!!!?

  • Where should I get my tattoo?

After a decade long search, I have finally decided what my tattoo will be, a snowflake. It will be rather small (2 or 3 inches diameter).

I want it to be easily concealed by clothing. I've had a couple babies and been through weight fluctuations so I want to avoid the belly, butt and hip area. A place where the skin is less likely to stretch and sag with age would be great. I'm thinking shoulder blade or back of my neck (I have very long hair). Any ideas or suggestions?

  • Microsoft Word experts, need your help again?

I have a document that is 8 pages now and will be many pages when I'm through. It's an instruction manual, so I'm typing the pages as I think of a topic, but I want to rearrange the pages in a more sensible order when I'm done. Is there a way I can view the document several pages at a time and click and drag the pages to where I want them? I thought I remembered doing that when I took a Word class some 10 versions ago probably, but I'm looking everywhere in that program and can't find a way to do it!

    Thanks!!

  • What "religion" am I?

I don't believe in God, but I believe in energy and nature and spirituality and karma. I've done some reading about Wicca and part of it appeals to me but it just doesn't seem to fit me. How should I continue my spiritual search?

  • Can you tell me what this exercise machine is?

My husband bought a used exercise machine and I want more info on it as to what it does and how best to use it, but I don't know what it's called so I can't look it up...

You put your feet on the footholds and then move them back and forth on a track that is arc-shaped. There is a bar to hold onto but it doesn't move. Any help much appreciated! Thanks!!
