May 21, 2011 is just another example of pseudo-religious bunk by people trying to interpret the bible to fit in with their own crackpot ideas. This time the perpetrator is one Harold Camping. Here is his 'calculation':

"The number 5, Camping concluded, equals "atonement." Ten is "completeness." Seventeen means "heaven." Camping patiently explained how he reached his conclusion for May 21, 2011.

"Christ hung on the cross April 1, 33 A.D.," he began. "Now go to April 1 of 2011 A.D., and that's 1,978 years."

Camping then multiplied 1,978 by 365.2422 days - the number of days in each solar year, not to be confused with a calendar year.

Next, Camping noted that April 1 to May 21 encompasses 51 days. Add 51 to the sum of previous multiplication total, and it equals 722,500.

    Camping realized that (5 x 10 x 17) x (5 x 10 x 17) = 722,500.

Or put into words: (Atonement x Completeness x Heaven), squared."

In other words, it's total numerological nonsense. Add, subtract and multiply various numbers until they give the result you want.

2012 is all down to a bunch of new-age wackjobs who gain insight from mystic signs, ancient prophecies and superstition. Scientists say it's all baloney. Both the 2011 and 2012 crowd never seem to learn that these sort of predictions are always doomed to failure. Look at this list of failed predictions: http://www.abhota.info/end1.htm

    They will never learn.

May 21st, 2011 is suppose to be judgment day. Yes at 6pm SOMETHING should occur first in New Zealand, not sure. Anyways, since is judgment day, God will take his followers, and the rest will stay here and suffer for 5 months. They say there would be a massive earthquake that will split Earth in two, and thats when the dead will walk Earth, demons everywhere. God won't care, because he already took his believers (followers) and then on October 21, 2011 the world will blow up and we all, die <3 In the end, is all bullshit. How can some guy come out of nowhere and do some math problems with the bible and then soon find that the ending is May 21. If he was wrong the first time, then why should we believe him? Also, only God knows when the end will arrive, not Jesus and certainly not some *** hole guy who will end up in hell for predicting ****.

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. (Daniel 12:9)

The fact is, God had a specific time to reveal this information to the believers. May 21, 2011 is Judgment Day followed by 153 days of torment on earth. Then on October 21, 2011 God will destroy everything by fire. This comes directly from a diligent search of the scriptures (over 50 years) and the Lord opening the understanding of the scriptures (Luke 24:45)

I encourage everyone to go to the links below and look at this information carefully. May the Lord have mercy on us all..

There is a radio ministry that teaches this. (family radio) Harold Camping is the lead pastor of this fallacy, "He" Harold Camping says that in his search of the scriptures he has come up with this time line for the Rapture of the church. and the beginning of the Great tribulation.

    Don't count on it.

but the bible says we should always be ready.

    Luke 12:40

Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

The Bible declares (through parables) that the end of this world begins on MAY 21 2011.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

The Bible also declares "WE CAN KNOW" and we can understand from 1Corinthians CH2 Verses 9 - 16 that all the language indicating "NO MAN KNOWETH" is for the unbeliever.

Read 1Cor 2:9-16 and you will see that the saved person can know and will have the mind of Christ. You can also see from these verses that the "NO MAN KNOWETH THE DAY OR THE HOUR is for the unsaved man. If you hold to "No man knoweth" in the face of 1COR 2, then you are declaring yourself as unsaved.

If you do a little research you can see where the Bible uses the word "things" as a synonym for "True Gospel".

Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip "preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ," they were baptized, both men and women.

Now insert "True Gospel" where you read the word "things".

    Please trust the Bible:

1Cor 2; 7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

Can you see how the believer "CAN KNOW"?

anyone that says that they know when the world will end, does not know the truth. ONLY God knows the time and the day that Jesus will return to earth and the world will cease to be as we know it. There have been many predictions about these times, however only God the Father knows the time, that why we have to be ready. How do we do that? Admit that we are sinners, confess and repent from sin, and accept Christ as Savior. "Today is the day of salvation"

No, it ended May 21, 2010...this is all an illusion.

2012 is not based on the Bible. There is TOO MUCH Biblical evidence to list regarding May 21, 2011 being Judgment Day and Oct. 21, 2011 being the End of the World but I HIGHLY suggest that you look into the websites that "End Time Prophet" has posted. You must be careful about certain websites and people these days because many will try to debunk this information but the ones End Time Prophet has given are true and trustworthy. Please check them out, May God Have Mercy!!

Harold Camping means well, as have many like him in the past, but the simple truth of the matter is that no one knows the date of Christs return, which will not 'end' the world but bring it to life. Thanks for sharing friend.
