Thats a hard one man Split Second is made by the people who made PURE so if youve ever played that you'll know what to expect but otherwise Wait until the Blur reviews come out you'll then know what to expect

Blur is more like Mario Kart (it has various power ups throughout the game), but in reality. It's also got 4-player split screen, which is uncommon these days. Split/Second has more of a destructive environment in which you can create your own routes. It has 2-player split screen. Check out demos and see which one you prefer.

split/second is more action oriented and focused on causing your opponents to wreck. by which i mean there are timing events used to blow them up.
blur's also arcade but seems more in the burnout ripoff category to me
