Macbook mouse question?

Today, my mouse book mouse has gone glitchy. Sometimes, when I hover over something or click on something, the mouse will grab and drag the item, even though that is what I did not intend. Tapping the track pad again will generally drop the item. Any thoughts?

    go to system preferences then under hardware go to track pad and see if maybe your settings are messy or its sensitivity is to high

    go to system preferences then trackpad.

    there's an option in their to turn drag off for one finger clicking.
