Mom's after you had a baby, did you go back to the bikini or a one piece?

I am 13 months post partum and my stomach is FINALLY starting to go back to normal, minus the stretched skin and flab. If I lay flat I look great, but it's so giggly now I am insecure. I am very proud of my tummy, but also can't loose weight yet since I am still nursing and only seem to succed with South Beach, which is bad for the milk and baby. Did you end up doing a one piece or say screw it and just were a bikini again? I am going away next month and want to wear a bathing suit again, but am not too sure what to get. If you have a great suggestion on a suite I would love to hear that too - thanks!

Update:

Yes, I lost all the weight I gained while being pregnant too, but since I have started to weign my son, I have seemed to gained a little too. I think because i am still eating the same, and the milk isnt like it used to be. I dont feel fat, but want to loose to the weight I was before TTC, as I had to gain weight to get pregnant. I was under weight, so now feel about 20/30 over weight, but know I look good too! LOL! I am 5'7 and weight 160. I am a white girl with junk in her trunk ;)

Update 2:

Yes, I love those one pieces the have the cut outs! That is actually what I was thinking, as I only have the skin on the front of my tummy and none anywhere else! My son was long, so my poor tummy paid the price for sure! :( He was worth it though!

Firstly congrats on the baby... you seem to have a great attitude towards your body, so I bet you are confident enough to wear a bikini!! I would also suggest the bikini, which is one piece in a way, with a stripe or a jewel in the middle connecting top to bottom.. it will add some class to the outfit and take the eyes away from the tummy. Enjoy your time away!! ^^

i hear ya. im basically 18 and not a mom yet i've got continuously believed there are diverse swimming suits for various events. a bikini works if thats what you elect for. even nevertheless once you're somewhat uncertain i could advise making an investment in a monokini. it somewhat is a go between a one-piece and a bikini. that way you nonetheless coach dermis and all of us knows you have a great bod, yet its no longer all putting out like it may be in a bikini and not too lined like in a one-piece. monokinis have a tendency to be style of high priced nevertheless so which you have a no longer ordinary time finding an low value one.

I don't like one-piece swimsuits so I just go with a tankini and boy shorts. It still looks hot but moderate. I lost all of my weight immediately after having my kid so weight was never an issue; being a mom was more of an issue to me. I just for some reason did not think I looked respectable in a bikini- not to mention I will be 40 this year.

I know I'm "funny" about that. I get told that quite often. But the tankini is just a suggestion if you still aren't feeling comfortable enough for the bikini quite yet and the one-piece seems too old not to mention if feels like it flattens my boobs too much.

    Source(s): I, too, am 5'7 and I weigh 135-140 lbs.

I know Spanks makes some really cute suits. And Victoria's Secret carries some nice one piece suits, but they are pricey.

I had my son 6 years ago and still have the stretch marks. So, I don't really wear a bikini around my husband's family. It's just a personal insecurity of mine. Not that I would think someone looks gross. I'm just weird. Lol.

Ok, I think its a little sick to wear a bikini if you KNOW that you don't have a bikini body anymore... its not ok. And I'm not a mom I'm just speaking as a 19 year old who sees fat people a lot and its sick. No offense. You could always go to Victorias Secret website and order one of their bathing suits they are super cute they have cute one pieces with cut outs and its sexy like you not exposing too much or anything. :) Goodluck
