How can I insure my bicycle?

If the bike is expensive and I need it for work, I should be able to insure it. But where do I get bicycle insurance?

It's automatically covered under your homeowners or renters insurance, unless you're, for example, a bike currier. In which case, you just get an endorsement on your homeowners or renters insurance, for your business equipment - that bike.

    Talk to your agent.

If you rent or own, you can probably attach a rider to your renter's or homeowner's insurance specifically covering the bike at replacement cost. Call your insurance agent to see about the cost of attaching the rider. If you don't already have insurance, call an agent and tell him what you want to do.
