Question for love birds!?

Kay, so whilst having a conversation with my BUDDY last night she threw out a question...and what an interesting question it was! Does every couple makes silly kissy faces / call each other stupid pet names like cupcake, bananarama, boop boop and hee hoop when alone?. So yahoo, is this normal or are we just ghey?

Well this is quite interesting actually because my boyfriend does all that stuff, he's all pet names and kissy faces- he's generally just abit of a cutey to be honest. But I never do it to him, seriously I think I must be the least kissy kissy person in the world, I'm pretty sure of it. So when he says cute things I'm just like 'man up abit will you' or alright then' or 'if you say so' is another one of my favourites. He loves it though, he seems to think that by acting all uninterested it actually means that I'm desperately in love with him (- I know weird but this is how his strange lil head works)

Everyone couple has unique things that they notice about the other whether it is a per name, shared experience, or kissy faces. Part of being in a committed relationship is choosing that person over the rest because they are "different" than the others, and pet names and nicknames personalize your connect in a way no one can relate to. That is probably why people use pet names. Not everyone does it, but me and my boyfriend do because we are still young and our relationship is not passed that "honeymoon stage" that occurs in the beginning,. After years of commitment, the kissy face probably stop, but the cute nicknames you developed in the "honeymoon" stage are brought up when reminiscing. If not, you remember the things you did with each other that replace the "nicknames"

The only pet names I use are like, baby and babe..lol not whatever those are.

But there isn't a normal when it comes to relationships..it just depends on what feels right for each individual couple.

No. You are normal. When you love or like someone, you fall into a pattern and calling someone a pet name is a sign of comfort and affection. I hate to say this but you are normal. Congratulations!

it varies, some couples really enjoy this and some hate it. It depends a lot on whether the gal is emotional or rational

i guess it's popular nowadays. but saying it to be normal, i don't think so..

but me and my BUDDY don't do it, it doesn't seem sincere to use these words, cause by calling with these words, it's like taking away the spontaneity in a relationship..

    but it's fun though..
