Personally, I can't believe people would actually say "No" to this. Think of the myriad of possible ideas that could go at this site. ANY correlation to promoting Islam (Every terrorist on 9/11 was a Muslim) should not be considered. Whether it is innocent or not, the building should be a memorial to those people and nothing else.

Having CHECKED the object, it does not point out President Obama as quickly as... that stated, i'm thoroughly antagonistic to it !!! FIRST to those that declare that smoking makes for ineffectual infantrymen: i began out smoking in boot camp and persevered for my 15 years interior the army, and not did i'm getting below an superb on the actual Readiness attempt or my annual SAR Swimmer sorting out. Ten years later, i will nonetheless journey the perfect skills for my age-team. 2nd... at NO factor in enlisting or commissioning does a soldier, sailor, airman, or Marine EVER "sign away" a single considered one of their rights as a citizen. We comply with stricter regulations and rules, yet we don't sign away rights. As to the argument that it will "save money"... it won't... 30% of the protection tension, people who smoke, WILL wave bye-bye on the top of their contracts and could could be replaced. Now do you think of those well-being-nazis are going to sign up or push their youngsters into the provider ?? NOPE, so we are able to could enhance pay to seize them in. I served on a deliver back in 1990 that attempted to pass smoke-loose... the commanding officer replaced into relieved because of the fact he had only violated the rights of all and sundry on board by ability of exclaiming a ban. i'm only unwell of the well-being-nazis and their nanny-state mentality... they raised taxes on tobacco nationally and in California. yet did not touch alcohol... too many Merlot sipping liberals to offend.

Like most Islamic mosques, it will probably become a beehive of terrorism where Muslims are radicalized (which doesn't appear to be that hard).

I believe that there should be freedom to build a mosque wherever a permit is given to do so. I am, however, completely amazed at the insensitivity of the group of people who believe this is appropriate behavior in this particular circumstance.

Nope. Because some of those "families of 3000 dead victims" are Muslims, bub. And also because the American constitution GUARANTEES religious freedom.

That means religious freedom. NOT bowing down to Christian biblethumpers who go nutso at the very idea of another religion even existing.

Here's a little history lesson for you:

September 11, 2001 was not about Muslims.

September 11, 2001 was not about Islam.

September 11, 2001 was about radical terrorists.

Now if somebody were suggesting we build a terrorist training facility close to Ground Zero.... THEN you could be upset.

    Not at all.

What's insulting is conservatives who claim to believe in "religious freedom" seeking to stop someone else from exercising their "religious freedom".

What's insulting is conservatives who claim to want government to stop "interfering" in private business are now seeking government to interfere in this private business.

What's insulting is conservatives who claim to believe in capitalism, now arguing that the people who bought that land with their own money should NOT be allowed to do what they want with it.

What's insulting are conservative hypocrites and cowards, who are afraid of a building, afraid of a different religion, afraid of the freedom and rights that ALL American citizens share, even the ones they don't agree with.

No. It is redevelopment. I thank Muslims for investing in America, not blowing it up. We should give carrots and put away the sticks in this case. Just no Sharia law in the US. That is the main issue here. That Imam says its compatible so they can hold their own whacked courts over here.

    No.

As long as Westboro can protest military funerals and all that BS, muslims should be able to worship where they want to as well. Sorry you hate everyone who doesn't worship the same imaginary man as you.
