Yes they shoud have. The bad reputation of Pit Bulls is because some people decided that they should revert back to being fighting dogs instead of family pets, during the early 20th Century the Pit Bull was one of the most popular family dogs and had very little trouble with being aggresive.

You know it is really stupid that the police won't do anything about that one certain breed of dog, so they investigate a case and say, whoa whoa, I am not going to get my hand son that because its a "pit bull" type dog. how stupid and that is not agaisnt the law? So hypthetically speaking, if a police officer were to be in the area where this fight happened, the officer would take a look at the breed of dog and say "Ah puff not my problem, who cares its a "pit bull" and drive off? And you call that not against the law? effin low lifes, those people almost killed an animal and pilice don't give a **** because of the dogs breed?

Yes he should, he's a danger to Society. What would happen if I went there and stabbed some designer mutt? I guess nothing since you can stab a dog there and get away with it. The owner of the pit should hire a lawyer have them research the local laws regarding animal abuse and sue the the attacker and the city for failing to enforce its own laws. I would not take this lying down.

Un freaking believable. I almost started bawling. This poor beautiful creature attacked by viscious Pit Bull haters should get the justice he deserves against them.

Of course, yes, they should go to jail. But "law enforcement" won't enforce the law for a Pit Bull.

I don't feel sorry for Mr. Vick. What he enjoyed doing is criminal, let's not forget that. He was also made an example of. How does a successful athlete like him ends up entertaining himself this way? Young children are watching and learning from his actions. If it is OK abusing animals these way, why not humans? He had to be stopped and taught a lesson. In situation with this husband killer, her church, charity work and alleged history of abuse probably helped in reducing her sentence.

Going to jail would be Disneyland compared to what I would do to them! I know how she feels though, it is a long story, But, briefly, all the property were I live at one time were farms, so the lots are exceptionally large and we own two lots. According to an eyewitness, my neighbor, and two of his friends, put on padded dog training suits, lured my male Rottweiler to the back of our property, held him down, while another sliced, and diced his face,. He had lost so much blood by the time I got him to the vet I did not think he was going to make it. After that, for the next couple of years, yes I said years, life in this neighborhood was like living in a Star Wars Movie. In addition, because of death threats, I moved my daughter out to live with a friend and only allowed her home on weekends.

The ending of the story is we, (me and my dogs), exposed their Cockpit and Dog-Fighting rings, as well as, their breeding kennels, I kid you not. In addition, the arresting agency even got a conviction out of it, which in this area is very difficult. It does not get any better than that!

I think she needs to go to the supervisors of the officer’s that answered the call, if that does not get results, the next political person in that area who will be up for election. If BSL is active in that area, bring charges against the other dog and its owner. Even if BSL is not active report to animal control the dog went on her property, was unleashed and attacked her leashed dog.

I do not think they were actually Pit Bull haters. I think once he got home with his dog and saw his dog was tore-up, more than he thought, he started talking to his friend about what happened. You know how men can get, all riled-up and his friend was there instigating and being caught up in the mix of things and intensifying the situation. Next thing you know, they become vigilantes!

Had the owner of the other dog acted on his own, the friend would have not have returned with him. He was not there in the beginning, why in the end. Moral Support?

But why didn't she question the man’s return? Did she just leave her dog in the yard, alone after a fight and the other dog owner just walk up on her property without her noticing? How is it they were able to catch the dog…..Oh I see now, the other guy was there to hold the dog down…..why did the dog not defend himself? Maybe we need to ask that question. How is it, if Pit Bulls are so vicious and human aggressive, all these sicko people, are able to subdue them to hog-tie, slice and dice, drill holes in them with a power drill, hang them by the neck and do other horrific acts of cruelty to this breed, but they (the sickos) never have one scratch on them. Are Pit Bulls not the vicious monsters everyone has made them out to be, but, loving, loyal and trusting creatures to humans?

im not generally a fan of pit bulls but i dont go by steroetypes either. but anyhow, thats insane and this is why i cannot stand cops. they do nothing but walk around and act like they are sometihng special. now if this was one of paris hiltons little yappy dogs then it would be a hugeeee deal, but its a regular pit bull of the street so they dont care... its pathetic.

Although I've been told by animal control before that because my dog is a GSD, he wouldn't be given chances like other dogs would be given in aggression issues and such.
