Can you give an example of something in creation that is not well-designed.?
We Christians talk a lot about how everything in creation shows intelligent design, but let's look at it from another angle.
One cannot truly comprehend the intelligence and ingenuity that surrounds us (and characterizes our very being) until you carefully study, observe and strive to understand their workings.
If we found a windmill placed perfectly in midst of a plain; we would never stoop so low as to think it just appeared there apart from intelligent design, but some can do just that with the tree that stands majestically beside it. The tree in itself is hundreds of times more complex in its inner workings than that of the windmill. The tree (through phototropism) perfectly orientates itself to receive the desired energy from the sun (which just so happens to be at just the right distance from the earth, I might add :) The tree is a self-replicating, self-repairing system ,and yet they say "chance, time and unintelligent design"
No doubt some of you will mention volcanoes, and the like (and perhaps make mention of certain "vestigial" organs, depending on your level of ignorance), but I believe that everything has a purpose, and a reason. Science cannot always understand the reason (as can be easily demonstrated by it's history) ,but it's only a matter of time (and chance) that they discover the reasons and inner-workings of our universe.
Hmm. The answers range here range to uniquely humorous to that of the baser sort. ..
Dreamy stuff... your examples are laughable and yet...amazing...study those "defects" in nature and you may just find the truth.
CAustin: I gave you a thumbs up because your answer came closest as to giving a proper example, but still you are completely wrong. The eye is fabulous design! There is not one "camera" (as you put it) on earth that is as precise and accurate as the human eye. The human eye preforms simple tasks (for it) that a camera cannot duplicate. And look, a camera is intelligent design... kinda shows the intelligence of our Creator doesn't it.
Leonard I noticed that you didn't answer the question.... lol
I must say that was a unique anecdote you gave :) I've never heard that one before ;P

The thing is, most “poor design” arguments (sometimes called Dysteleology) come from ignorance. We are constantly finding previously unknown functions (important functions) for the supposed vestigial structures and so-called “junk DNA.”
For instance, in October, 2007, Science Daily had the article: Appendix Isn’t Useless At All. Some scientists discovered that it is a safe house for good bacteria and can reboot the digestive system if needed.
In July, 2009, National Geographic had an article called: Vestigial Organs Not So Useless After All. The study revealed an important role played by the spleen, formerly considered vestigial. Besides the fact that it helps filters out red blood cells that are damaged or old, it is a storehouse for a type of white blood cells for immune defense and tissue repair. Those without spleens are more likely to die from heart disease and pneumonia. In the article, Dr. Jeffrey Laitman admitted, “History is littered with body parts that were called ‘useless’ simply because medical science had yet to understand them . . . People say, ‘You can remove it and still live.’ But you have to be careful with that logic. You could remove your left leg and still live.” And the article also talked about the appendix discovery.
Evolutionists told us the appendix, the spleen, the pineal gland, the pituatary gland, and a hundred other things were vestigial, only to have science find out they had a function after all. How many people were exposed to increased infections during the tonsillectomy craze of the 1960s?
But the thing is, if the Creator is the God of the Bible, then we are told that this is a cursed earth (all of creation is suffering as a result of man’s sin in Gen. 3); everything is in a state of progressive degeneration—bad things are supposed to happen and things are expected to get worse (e.g. mutational load). Unlike God, the creation is wearing out like a garment (as it says in Psalm 102:25-26).
It’s like the example of a gardener digging up an ancient book—the book is falling apart, it’s pages are mostly stuck together, and the type has faded. Does the current condition of the book mean that it never carried a message and that it wasn’t designed? The book is in a degenerative condition, but there is no denying that it was designed for a purpose and optimal for doing it’s job at one point in time.
Suppose you turn on a computer and it’s not working property. What do you say, “This computer must not have been designed because it’s not working properly”?
An unbeliever looks at the earth and finds examples of what he or she believes are evidences of poor design. Yet, it is very likely they might be witnessing degeneration from the Fall, or again that they are simply ignorant of the purpose.
As it has been said, “We will not assume, therefore, that because an unbeliever’s reasoning ability is flawed, this proves his brain was not designed” (just a bit of a low blow).
And besides, this argument can just as easily be turned around. Why has evolution been so slow at getting rid of useless structures in our case? Why isn’t evolution more effective at getting rid of vestigial structures if humans have been around for over 300,000 years?

Balls!
Surely the canonical example of a bodge. An intelligent designer would have designed sperm to be able to withstand the temperature inside the body in the first place -- and maybe even not to require hundreds of millions of them to be wasted in the course of even a successful conception.
Which being said, the system we see is entirely consistent with evolution by trial-and-error. After all, they only have to last just long enough to pass on some of that precious DNA and then their work is done.
By the way, when you say "the sun ..... just so happens to be at just the right distance from the earth" -- what do you mean? However far away the Earth was from the Sun, life would have adapted to the prevailing conditions -- or else never come about in the first place. Just because humans are most comfortable at temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees, doesn't mean that other life forms can't, or don't, exist in higher or lower ranges.

You see, whenever any process if discovered, through the scientific theory of "Godidit!", you're always 100% right. The problem is waiting for real scientists to do the work, then you claim it in the name of your religion. Edit: "And they have no answer to the polonium halos which contradict their evolutionary theories." Rofl. When was geography part of evolution, genius. You didn't give a single example of how creation helped to explain new evidence - you basically gave a perfect example of Godidit! Scientists are wrong! "All the law of nature point to an omnipotent, intelligent designer" No, they point to a blind tinkerer. Learn some actual laws of nature first.

There's no evidence that anything is "creation".
1 Sea mammal blowhole. Any animal that spends appreciable time in the ocean should be able to extract oxygen from water via gills. Enlarging the lungs and moving a nostril to the back of the head is a poor work-around.
2 Hyena clitoris. When engorged, this "pseudopenis," which doubles as the birth canal, becomes so hard it can crush babies to death during exit.
3 Kangaroo teat. In order to nurse, the just-born joey, a frail and squishy jellybean, must clamber up Mom's torso and into her pouch for a nipple.
4 Giraffe birth canal. Mama giraffes stand up while giving birth, so baby's entry into the world is a 5-foot drop. Wheeee! Crack.
5 Goliath bird-eating spider exoskeleton. This giant spider can climb trees to hunt very mobile prey. Yet it has a shell so fragile it practically explodes when it falls? Well, at least it can produce silk to make a sail. Oh, wait — it can't!
6 Shark-fetus teeth. A few shark species have live births (instead of laying eggs). The Jaws juniors grow teeth in the womb. The first sibling or two to mature sometimes eat their siblings in utero. Mmm ... siblings.
7 Human stomach. People can digest a lot — except for cellulose, the primary component of plant matter. Why don't we have commensal bacteria in our guts to do it? They're busy helping termites.
8 Slug genitalia. Some hermaphroditic species breed by wrapping their sex organs around each other. If one of said members gets stuck, the slug simply chews it off. What. The. Hell?
9 Quadrupeds. Let's say you're a four-footed animal. Now let's say you get a wound on your back, or an itch, or a bug wandering up there. Tough luck, kid. You probably can't do much about it. Hope there's a low branch around.
10 Narwhal tusk. The unicorn-like protuberance on a male narwhal's head is actually a tooth that erupts through the front of the jaw and keeps on growing, up to 9 feet. Narwhal: "Doc, I have a toothache." Dentist: "Indeed."

I know you said not to talk about organs and such, but a human being is an example of a imperfect design. If we were perfect, why do we sometimes bite our tongues? and what's with hiccups? If you look around there are actually tiny faults with everything both man made and natural.

The blind spot in the human eye, there because the nerves going to the optical receptors are on the inside of the eye rather than connected to the back.
This flaw exists in neither squids' eyes nor modern cameras - not only can WE design better optics than the ones we come equipped with, but apparently even God can - but only when he's working on aquatic life with a different evolutionary path than ours.

1. The human eye
2. The human head and spinal column. The head is far too heavy. There are few people over 45 and even fewer over 55 who do not have back pains
3. the human birth canal/ pelvis

The human brain.
Due to its size, humans have to be born much earlier than they should be, otherwise we'd never get out.
Have you ever noticed that many mammals can walk and run soon after birth? Aren't humans so helpless so soon after their birth? We're pretty much useless until 3-4.
Yep
evolution has ****** us over.

You are completely wrong, of course.
In almost everything you say, too, which is phenomenal.
I mean, it's like you never even heard about evolution. What... did your parents raise you in a Skinner box in which you'd receive a food pellet every time you closed your eyes to actual facts?
