What is a band that you would class as genuinely 'Original'?

Gojira, they are like their own kind of metal.

Over the past 20-30 years the only really original bands were The Talking Heads and maybe Re Hot Chilli Peppers. Practically every artist has stolen something from someone.

I think The Dead Weather, mostly because they use abstract noises and the topics of their songs are very origional....

their lyrics are also pretty interesting, and the fact that they change between male and female singers in the middle of their songs also adds on. I think their most orginal song is 'i cut like a buffalo' (not as emo as it sounds....) Well anything with Jack White is interesting, so....

I don't know very 'original' bands so that's the best i can think of. sorry. :P

Led Zeppelin (listen to III , Houses , In through , and Physical ) all very different and have influenced as many or more other bands as anyone.

Radiohead, especially OK Computer. Napalm Death, The Beatles
