why do people hate....?

I don't personally hate redheads. It's just a hair color. That being said people I believe hate redheads for the same reason that people hate many other things: a stereotype about that said thing.

Example:

Black people steal

Mexican people travel in large packs

Redheads are bitchy

Also some people just judge people. Maybe they themselves just don't like that hair color or maybe like you said they are jealous. Who knows?

I don't know what you mean by everyone hating redheads because I don't feel that way. It's like what people say about blondes being dumb and stupid stuff like that. Haircolor has nothing to do with how smart you are or what your attitude is. I think natural red hair is beautiful.

I wonder that too! I never understood that prejudice because I think redheads are most of the most beautiful people I've ever seen. I just a dumb jealousy thing, I guess.

Naw, but seriously, not everyone hates gingers...so some of them can be jerks, but there are a lot more nice ones than there are jerks.

I just respect them (and look at their cute hair and freckles).

I had red hair for a very long time and loved it. I think its really pretty and unique. I just wanted a change after a while.

These people who hate redheads are either ignorant or they have had a particularily bad experience with one.

I've never met a person who hated redheads. I've heard insults made in jest, but that's it.

Because my sister was a redhead. She WAS, but not anymore.

I actually wish I had red hair.

& I don't hate them..I'm just jealous ;)!

I don't get it. It's no different than disliking someone for the color of their skin.
