What is stopping my NG line?

All of the houses in my neighborhood were built with a NG line coming out of the back of the house. Everyone else just took off the cap and had gas. I took off the cap, got one puff of gas and then nothing.

There is no valve to this line. I shut off all of the valves to other appliances, took off the line from the meter, and blew it out with a shop vac, didn't even feel the air coming out of this line. I cannot snake it out because there is an elbow joint just inside the wall.

Any ideas short of calling a plumber and tearing out the walls?

Check to see if there is an extra valve at your water heater or furnace that might head out back. Could be at your dryer or stove location also. You could run a new line on the outside of the house coming from the gas meter and running around the house, depending on the setup of your yard.
