Is there any typical Hockey Player Stereotype?

Depends what position:

Goalies are strange they always have weird habits and are the most likely to flip out.

Defenders: Usually the drunks, they're the bruisers lookin for beers and brawls.

Forwards: Always trying to one-up everyone else, be the cool guy.

I would say the stereotype is the frat boys of sports. As someone who played College for 4 years, you see it's just like a frat but you happen to play hockey together.

Who cares what they think? I'm 18 and I started liking hockey when I was around 13. Some people think girls can't like hockey but that's completely untrue because I love it and a lot of other girls do. Other than that I'm pretty girly, I'm a dancer and I like clothes and makeup and stuff so really anyone can like hockey. And yes some of the players are super hot but I still know my stuff and I just love watching it. It's a great sport so who cares if people think it's weird that you like it.

Hair style- mullet (even though very few actually do)

Teeth- some missing

Nose- has a hook

Face- unshaven usually

Personality- usually more humble than other pro athletes (probably because most are Canadian and Canadians in general are friendly/polite).

These are stereotypes after all...

Well, in order for me to answer this question, I have to give you an example

For instance, Sidney Crosby is notorious for whining and complaining every chance he gets. If you watched the Habs-Pens series, you would see Crosby, not only crying on the ice, but FLIRTING with the referees. Yes, you heard me right. *whispers* Psst, Crosby is in the closet!! That's why people call him CINDY Crosby..yeah..do you see the picture on the wall now? oh yeah..you can thank me later

and Did you know that Crosby listens to LADY GAGA?!! Yeah, scandalous, isn't it?! And how did I know that? I asked alot of questions about him on here and people here don't lie!! They actually told me the cold, hard truth!!

Lastly, did you know that Crosby has a....BOY FRIEND!?! YES!! I know, shocking right?!! Shh, don't tell anyone..he's dating GARY BETTMAN!! He's the NHL Commissioner..why do u think Crosby is getting paid too much? ;)

About the music, I find a lot of them listen to 70s-80s rock and roll. Most of them are monotonous, always use the same answers during interviews like "yeah, we're gonna try and get some pucks on net and stay deep in their zone and try to come out with the lead before the end of the game". They dress casually outside of games, no suits or anything. People always say that they are mindless, toothless, angry Canadians, like that dude before me told you. Hope this helped
