What is so wrong about?

physician assisted suicide. If abortion is a medical procedure where it is legal to terminate the life of an unborn child who can not choose for themselves then why can't people use a medical procedure to choose to end their own lives? It really just does not make sense to me. I just want to know how one could be legal and not the other. I understand not using assisted suicide to end someones life who is perfectly healthy, but someone with a debilitating disease that will never recover.

One big issue is when does a fetus legally become a human being and retain all the rights that you and I have. Sure, you may believe that it is a human life, but the law does not recognize as such.

But this doesn't mean I think physician assistant suicide is worng. Just as I believe that it is amother's choice to abort her pregnancy if she so chooses, it should also be a patients right to abort his life if he/she is suffering from a terminal illness.

Abortion is legal because a woman has a right to privacy. Therefore one can't justify the legality of assisted suicide with the legality of abortion. No, it may not make sense, but that's how the supreme court justified making abortion legal... Otherwise states would be free to make it just as illegal as assisted suicide.
