What type of attorney do I speak to in regards to wrongful loss of employment?

Forget the details, I do believe I was wrongfully terminated from my job and would like to see an attorney but I don't want to go see an attorney who does a little of EVERYTHING I just want to talk to someone who specializes in my case. Would it be Worker's Comp? Or Business Litigation? Corporate Law? Thanks for your help.

Call your state or municipal bar association--look for a lawyer referral line--and ask for a plaintiff's employment litigation attorney. Ask for someone who will consult for free (or for some small charge, e.g., $30 in Portland, OR).

    James is correct.

In case you are wondering, Workers Comp deals with medical injuries received on the job. Business Litigation and Corporate Law are one business suing another (mostly over contract disputes).

    An employment attorney.

It would in fact be employment law. Just to let you know, aside from being fired for being a member of a protected class (sex, race, religion, etc.), or in retaliation for certain kinds of complaints, there is no such thing as wrongful termination in the US.

most attorneys don't want to deal with a she said he said deal. I f you were wronglful on the job then they don't want to deal with you. it is a waste of their time. Tell the truth because I bet you did something wrong because a good employer wants a good worker. I fired a woman because she takes too many smoke breaks and wanted to sue me for firing her because she is a woman. I fired her because she was abusing work time!
