Your opinion on putting unemployed people back to work.?

Opinion on my idea please.  My idea is, I'm sure there are several jobs that each city, county, state, or even in the country level, that could be done by unskilled unemployed people.  Here is my idea.  Let a person look for a job for three months, after that, have them do work for the government, mowing parks, fixing roads, or what ever needs to be done.  Still pay the same as unemployment, but the government wouldn't have to pay the high wages that government employees make.  Wouldn't it be a win win situation.  Reducing city/county/state expenses, and put people back to work?

sorry but your suggestions are flawed as you are suggesting someone else takes over another's job. The jobs you suggest already have people doing them so by putting the unwaged to do these jobs you are putting many more out of work - hence a bigger burden on an already shaky economy.

How about making jobs more attractive than benefits so that those on benefits are encouraged to get a wage?

There is such a thing as a benefits trap where , although people want to get a job it is not beneficial to do so, as they are better off on benefits!- get rid of that and you will see that people do go out to seek work.
Also getting a skilled workforce is worth investing in.- So those on benefits could go on skills training courses to make their job seeking easier.

some unemployed ppl are that way by choice, but the ppl who have lost jobs due to recession, there should be a govmt fund to companies, to create more jobs, instead of our govmt who are already in debt, paying out to othere countries with money they dont have,
