Don't you hate it when you see Baseball illiterates put down teams like the Pirates and the Reds?

It's disappointing to be sure. What it tells me is that most don't understand the game. I find it interesting to break down the cause of a team's success or failure. I don't judge teams, I just watch and listen. That's the beauty of the game. The best thing to do is be selective with your contacts and block those who have nothing but insults to contribute.

As a matter of fact some people get so intrusive that from time to time I have to shut down my fan list. I'm actually in that mode at the moment.

Not every team can be a winning team or have a winning percentage. I don't think you could suck and play at MLB level, they are there for a reason, they have talent. All they need is put it together and get on a little streak (they won their last 2 games). Pirates have done good things this year, they are 15-0 when they are leading in the 8th. Octavio Dotel has 9 straight saves. They are good defensively, they need to figure out how to score some runs.

When was the last time the Pirates had a winning season or kept their stars happy? I mean Jack Wilson the long time favorite wanted to leave because the owner does not commit to winning or even attempt to sign quality free agents.

The Reds are doing well this year though, so they shouldn't be bashing them. If there's any team worth putting down this year it's the Cubs, because they are 1-7 against the Pirates this year.

used to stand for means nothing. what matters is what you are doing right now to win. Reds are OK, but Pirates are a joke. I mean, they develop good players and then ship them out to big market teams, and you call US illiterates for putting that joke of an organization down?

The Pirates are a joke. they got the best looking ballpark, and the worst front office personnel.

The Reds are doing suprisingly well this season but unfortunatley history has nothing to do with your teams current performance.

Be honest man, Pirates suck. And the Reds, well some people think they are pretenders. It's just an opinion man don't get upset.

Yeah. Any team can have success. No need to put them down. All teams have a good player or 2.
