What works better for increasing your wi-fi signal?

Wi-fi range extender or a wireless-G Dish Adapter (I have a PC wireless-G card installed in my computer already.)

Update:

i have tried an n adapter it did not get a better signal. I am trying to increase the little bit that i have of one of my neighbors signals. it is an open network.

That would depend entirely on surrounding conditions, the distance you are trying to reach, etc. Give details on what you are trying to accomplish for an accurate answer.

EDIT: Then opt for a parabola. Matter of fact, if you want to get right down to it, I'll gladly build you one of these!

Note the camera and compass on the first one. This is my pride and joy! A mile in town.

that depends if you want to increase signal omni-directionally (range extender) or in one specific direction (dish or patch antenna, or yagi)

It would be better to get a 'N' rated card for your computer.
