Dog and patches of taller grass?
I have a dog, and while there may one 1 or 2 small brown spots in my lawn, what I have a lot of is patches where the grass grows much faster. Can this be caused by the dog (by changing the soil composition in those spots, for example), and is there any way to correct it?
cipi_Alex, thanks for the answer. Are you saying I should make the rest of the lawn look like the "overfertilized" spots by adding fertizlizer throughout?
I was actually hoping to make those spots look more like the rest of the lawn.

That is correct. The dog's "brownies" act as a fertilizer for the soil therefore the faster growth of the grass. This can be corrected easily by sprinkling fertilized soil over the lawn and watering it abundantly.

It'd probably the dog's feces you can fix this by cleaning up after your dog. if you want your lawn to look greener then fertilize and over seed with plenty of water.
