I guess they are two sides of the same coin but I am having to stretch to see this clearly.

When you use the word judgment it also causes a bit of confusion. When I cross the street

I have to look both ways and see that it is safe before I proceed. I probably have to make

numerous judgments every day just to get safely through the day.

Ah, but you are asking me about judging people - God's other children, my brothers.

The proscription is about judging against Oneness. God's Creation is still Perfect

and making judgments is seeing imperfections in God's Creation. He has not changed

His mind about any part of His Creation - so it can not change, could never change. We can

have clouded vision about His Creation, but that is just an error on our part - it has not changed.

Having expectations about Perfection does not seem unreasonable. The expectations

that I usually hear expressed though, are usually like "well that's all I expected to get out

    of you".

If we have not walked in our brothers shoes, we can not know what his exact lessons are

nor do we have any right to expect certain actions nor condemn his activities. By the same

token then, we can't pray for our brother either. But in ACIM Jesus says that you can

offer a miracle to your brother through Him. He knows what our brother is ready to receive.

Well Billy, there is a difference however small between the two. Having "Expectations" for someone means that we would like them to achieve something. Judging someone is having or displaying an excessively critical point of view.

Judging anyone else ever is wrong. Because it sounds like a negative word.
