If McCain runs an ad about Obama, it is factual, and yet he gets called a racist. McCain is sunk. If he wins this election it will be a miracle. 80% of the MSM is in the tank for Obama. All 4 debate moderators were Liberals and for Obama. ACORN, in the tank for Obama and registering millions of voters for Obama. The record of Obamas 8 years in the state of ILL senate, that saw higher taxes, higher crime and murder, and zero for the poor and middle class hidden from the voters by the MSM. Any and all of Obamas friends and associates, along with records from 3 different colleges, hidden from the voters. Finally, refusing to prove his citizenship to a court and getting away with it. McCain had no chance from the beginning. The MSM have selected the zero and dismissed the hero. It is a sad day in america that we are dictated to by the obama media.

It's because it sends network ratings through the roof, which means more advertising revenue. More viewers = more ads watched = more ad money for the networks.

It's really all about the money more than the actual purpose of journalism. That is, to inform people of events and not to try to push them off the metaphorical cliffs of ignorance.

ironically, the comedians are the ones most likely to tell the truth because they aren't necessarily required to tell their fans exactly what they want to hear.

ultimately, that's the problem. TV stations do whatever they can to boost their ratings, and people don't want to hear unbiased opinions, they're boring as hell. what they want to hear are strong opinions that reaffirm what they already believe and make their opponents look like idiots.

Well, the really amazing thing is, most of them don't know they are lying. That's what makes them so effective at it.

Only a small minority are truly aware of what they are doing. Those individuals are the truly audacious ones.

Compulsive liars tend to leave pretty sheltered lives; as long as they're able to fool most of the people most of the time, they're happy.

You know who really gets me? It's Juan Williams. He's a fairly respected Liberal political analyst both on NPR and on Fox, but all too often, his defenses of liberal politicians and their actions just border on the ridiculous.
