Why does he flirt with me, but then totally ignore me?
I have a friend who is in a class with me, and we went to a dance earlier this year. I was getting really upset over something (don't ask) and I told him that night that I liked him. For the first day or two it was awkward, but it went back to normal. He told me specifically that he liked two other girls from different schools, so I never pressed him further on it. But in the last month he's been flirting with me like crazy, and it's all rather cute, and I reciprocate, of course. But sometimes I'll try to be cute and he'll just brush me off. It's really confusing. I know a lot about guys, but I'm at a loss for this. Guys, Help?

Based on your description about him "liking" more than one girl, his emphasis for you is non-centralized, meaning that he is not being specific about who he likes the most. This could mean that he likes girls in general and does not want to have one girlfriend or it could also mean that he is testing girls out to find his best match.
Because he ignores you at some times, this indicates that he has a limit to how much he will associate with you. This most likely means that he does not like you to some degree (possibly you made him upset or offended) or that he is shy or afraid about something and when he enters that state of mind, he will transition to avoiding you. However, when he gets over it, he wants to talk again.
