Casey Stoners problems at Ducati (MotoGP)?
I know its only Free practice, and its only Friday.
But Casey losing the front "Again"
still the fastest Duc out there.
Is he trying to hard (as I first thought)
Or does he really have a front end issue.
It would be a shame if the Ducati cant keep up with the Yamaha boys.
Ducati should have enough Data at this track to be up there surely.
Any thoughts without just slagging off Casey.
@Richard G. Always your answers give me food for thought.
But...
I want to see Ben and House
play with Valentino and Jerry
Lose JR na JB
you leave
BS and TH &W
I really do hope to see all these working at the same time
on equal terms
Edit.. I have similar misgivings about Pedrosa's development skills.
Nicky has proved he can do the job.
Im sure Dovi can
I'd bet my life Ben can.
thats Yamaha, Ducati and Honda sorted.
Capa just need's time with Bautista and we are sorted.

I had to laugh when I heard that he crashed within the first 8 mins! I thought it was brake problems though? When I watched the video back on motogp.com he actually only crashed because he went into the gravel.
I dunno if it is trying too hard. I thought it might have been at the last race however in Qatar everyone knew he was going to win, he was constant and when he was in first he should have been able to relax a little.
I don't know if there really is a front end issue like I don't really know if he was that ill to take 3 races off last year. Casey said that Hayden didn't have the front end issue because he doesn't go as fast which I think is a bit of an excuse. I get the feeling that the team are getting a bit annoyed with Casey too. They were rolling their eyes after he crashed to weeks ago and Vittoriano's comments were quite telling. So I am yet to 100% believe that there is a front end issue.
I think it would be a shame as well if the dukes couldn't keep up with the yamaha's. I hope that next year there is a really big change in who is with who so that the racing can be a little bit closer.

Ok it would be to easy to slag Casey off, that said I think HE is the problem and is trying to hard, but then he always has, he always rides as if every lap is his last, look how often he fell from the LCR Honda. I think his current problems are problems of his own making, he is a fantastically talented rider and quite possibly the fastest out there most days but I question his development skills, I think Ducati have missed Capirossi in this respect, his performance on the 800 was far better than any of his successors. Casey's talent has allowed him to ride round inherrent problems with the bike and that has been highlighted by the fact no-one else could ride it, until Hayden dogedly stuck to the task in hand. I think the best thing for Ducati is to lose him to Honda next year, it will be Honda's loss. The only thing that will even the playing field is when VR & JB quit.

Well I know that when Casey binned it he had 09 Ohlins in the yokes and said it was alot better then in recent weeks.
However the crash was caused by the little tank slapper he had just before and it shook the caliper so hard the pads dislodged.
Sounds a little far fetched to be honest, but it can happen I guess.
Casey did an interview with Motogp.com's & the BBC Matt Roberts today, so it will be intresting to see what he says. I know he mentions that the title is not out of reach, but its going to be tough for the lad.
I do hope Casey can get things sorted.
If he goes to HRC next year ( looking like he is ) then he needs to perform. If not he will be labelled as another Freddie Spencer and just burnt his candle to bright from both ends.
Good luck to him. The title needs a good fighter.

I agree with the others - He is trying too hard. to be quick you need to be smooth, as pointed out by Auburn, some things in the sports are the same. Caseys main trick is to be quick straight out of the blocks. from FP1 to the race. he worries the opposition by setting quick times. He knows he is quick, he knows the bike is quick. he needs to get away from the Yamah's early because as we have een from Lorenzo the yamaha comes better as the race goes on. and looking at Nicky the Duc may wear tyres a bit more. But to be fair to Casey he was too quick at Qatar. He says he has no idea why he lost "The front" (I say front because after watching it again and listening to casey tell the tale) then the rear last time out. he was on it again. I would not write Casey off just yet. He does not like Jerez or Le Mans. He made a mistake at Qatar. (a race he would have won by a mile) I think he has got the machine under him to still worry the Fiat team. its only been 3 races. As for MotoGP getting Boring. what are you on ? The Battle between Rossi and Lorenzo is just getting started. Dovi is getting to grips with the Honda and up with Pedrosa. Ben will get it together the Satalite fighting is as unpredictable as the winner. if its so boring and predictable, you should be making a fortune at the bookies Edit.... Forgot to add, Casey's "mysterious illness" was diagnosed as Lactose intolerance, his diet has been changed to combat it.

[ i think it is 50/50, between the bike and Casey's head, must admit when he first started having problems in the corners,i thought that it was the chassis, possibly cold tyres contributing, now i'm not sure.
it could be that there's a problem at Ducati that he would like to mention, but can't a bit like it was with Marco.......<^><...
just watching the bikes line up on the grid at Mugello, i think i can see the problem at Ducati...they've got 'Wolverine' as team manager now...
