  • Wild Card riders at Motegi (MotoGP)?

I see that Shinichi Itoh and Kousuke Akiyoshi are to wild card this weekend at Motegi.

I was wondering if thats going to be on Full factory Honda's (knowing the rider rules allow wild card riders to do so) not rookies.

maybe as a wake up call to those who thought about not going to Japan

Honda have a reputation for remembering things.

And if so is there the slightest possibility of seeing a return to the days when in Japan it was normal to see a Japanese rider on the podium.

I really would love to see it . But .........?

    What do you think.

  • Macau GP result (spoiler)?

Congratulations to Team Green and Stuart Easton in Macau

Almost a second a lap quicker than the next bike.

Are we seeing an early indication of the Zx10 for 2012.

I know I have asked this before, and i appolgise for keeping on about it.

But that Kwacker looks very quick to me

    Any thoughts,

  • Ducati Sponsorship 2011 (motoGP)?

Thinking about the new colour scheme

    Marlboro

    Fiat

    or

    AMG Mercedes

Lorenzo was still in the Fiat colours (though I suppose he was still under contract for 2010)

No colours on Ben or Rossi's bikes.

What will an AMG Ducati look like.

Could look as cool as the Scott/JiR Bike that Dovi rode.

  • Lorenzo after winning the championship (MotoGP)?

Was it just me, and Lorenzo caught up in the moment

Or did he snub Ben on the slow down lap.

It looked to me like Ben tried a couple of times to congratulate him and then gave up shaking his head.

Is Lorenzo trying Rossi's mind games with Ben already.

It could easily be just emotions running high after winning the championship, But somehow I doubt it.

    any opinions ?

  • Valentino's interview MotoGP?

    In question 5's answer

    http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2010/qa+with+valenti...

    Valentino states

"I know I have a bike for next year and I don't need to rush my return to demonstrate anything. "

Considering his contract runs out at the end of this year.

And its likely Lorenzo will win the championship (Barring any accidents)

Does this mean the Tex 3 team will be the same for 2011.

Or is there something we dont know ?

Has Ducati actually signed him ?

is this the reason Casey might be signed up to HRC.

    Any thoughts or speculations

  • Valentino Rossi's possible replacement (MotoGP)?

Firstly, can Ben Spies be moved up onto the Fiat M1.

Im thinking the rookie rule would not apply as a replacement rider. (Mika Kalio last year for stoner)

My personal choice would be Katsuyki Nakasuga.

I think the Favourite would probably be Colin Edwards.

there is still Cal Crutchlow or James Toe52and.

who do you think will be brought in to replace Rossi while he recovers

(Which we all hope will be quickly)

  • Colin Edwards and Ben Spies at Tex 3 (MotoGP)?

After thinking about comments from Richard G. ( whom I respect immensely) and thank for the Idea.

Colins return to form (before the race)

Can this be put down to .......

Colin helps Ben learn the track.

Ben then sets up the bike (with the help of House & woody)

The Tex 3 bike then works

Prediction Both tex 3 bikes in top 5 (Ok no Rossi & JB ) but .....

  • Casey Stoners problems at Ducati (MotoGP)?

I know its only Free practice, and its only Friday.

But Casey losing the front "Again"

still the fastest Duc out there.

Is he trying to hard (as I first thought)

Or does he really have a front end issue.

It would be a shame if the Ducati cant keep up with the Yamaha boys.

Ducati should have enough Data at this track to be up there surely.

Any thoughts without just slagging off Casey.

  • Dovi to try new Chassis at Le Mans (MotoGP)?

Dovi says its a slow track, and we know how quick the Honda is after Qatar.

how quick pedrosa was in Jerez

Both were quick in the test after Jerez.

what are the chances of a Honda (HRC) beating up the Fiat Yamaha boys.

and who will come out on top Dovi or the Pedrobot.

  • What are the chances of seeing Troy Baylis on a Beemer next season.(WSBK)?

It seems Troy is getting bored. and may return to WSBK.

as he is still employed by Ducati, he should return with them.

But with Tardozzi moving to BMW where will his loyalties go.

It looks like I may owe Girl Racer a Drink. she did say he would be back.

    What do you think.

    Will he return

    Who with.

and should anyone be worried ?

  • Yoshimura Suzuki at Monza (WSBK)?

How do you think Daisaku Sakai will do on the Yoshi bike.

Never ridden outside of Japan, more than likely to take the ride as I think the Workx Crescent Suzuki

team will pull Kagayama because of his accident last monday at Oulton. better safe than sorry.

    any thoughts.

  • Jerez testing (MotoGP)?

Just looking at the testing times I notice that Ben did the least laps 48

    http://www.motomatters.com/news/2010/05/04/2010_po...

    Colin and Dani next. 60

Do you think this is relevant to the 6 Engine rule. Dani using a "New" one cuts int his allowance.

I notice also the Ducati's dont seem worried about doing too many laps.

    Any thoughts ?

  • Late Braking (or early braking ) MotoGP?

Though vigorously denied - Rossi has been accused more than once of braking early. by more than a few riders.

To put this into perspective, a bike traveling at 200mph covers the best part of 100meters per second.

these riders when in the slipstream are less than 20ft apart.

those of you that have either been to the track or observant enough to see them on screen will have seen the 50 - 100 - 150 marker boards. and will know the braking areas are between the 100 - 150 marks.

when racing another rider in close proximity, you expect the guy in front to try to brake as late as possible to stop you doing so.

Given that this happens in less than a second (by the distance covered) Try this :-

your following the guy in front, (have been for several laps)

    you see the corner approaching,

    You see your marker

Then you see the guy move before he gets there. arms flinch and shoulders rise.

    What do you do ?

How dangerous is this tactic ?

Before anyone answers with you wouldnt do it because of the danger to yourself !!

These guys reaction times are beyond belief. Though the time allowed is very very short.

    Any views ?
