Please help! Having problems burning DVD from downloaded files?

I'm using utorrent for downloading the files, Any video converter for converting them and to burn them I'm using either burn aware free or the program that comes on my laptop(have tried on 2 computers.)

It sorta worked at first but the quality of the dvd when I watched it on my tv with my dvd player was really bad, so I figured it was a bad quality torrent...downloaded another. I got the better quality except the movie was split up into many different files....I converted and burned it like that anyway...then the audio turned out to be out of sync.

Anyways another problem I'm having now with other movies is that I download them, convert and burn them but they wont play on my dvd player at all now. sometimes it says that the dvd is dirty or that it can play in this region. I could've sworn they weren't PAL downloads though....anyways I'm really frustrated and honestly I feel like such an idiot because I cant get it right and yet so many people do this everyday and have no problems and get great quality on dvd player from burns. What am I doing wrong? Please help me, thanks.

the problem is that your DVD player cannot play the current format. formats that DVD players can play are quite limited ( eg - mpg , mpeg , divx , dat , avi ) . there are formats which cannot be played like the new ones ( ogm , etc ). another reason may be that the downloaded file is corrupted. in the sense that it can be played in PC \ LAP but not in DVD. to check this just see if you can seek the video file without getting it stuck or come back to where it was. the best option is to convert it into a DVD player format . (eg - above mentioned).

Burning downloaded movie files to dvd to play well on tv with dvd player, you just need to use a right software that can directly convert and burn the downloaded movie files to standard video DVD, because most dvd players only play standard video DVD well, so I think you are going the wrong way, Any video converter just be a video converter software, can't be used to convert and burn movies to standard video DVD directly, so I think you can try RZ DVD Creator, it can directly convert any downloaded movie files to standard video DVD and burn to any DVD disc(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), the burned standard video DVD can be watched well on TV with your dvd player, and no video and audio sync problem. You can yahoo or google search RZ DVD Creator and download it, great quality, easy to use, hope it can help you.

I think ConvertXtoDVD is the best burning software. It supports most video and audio formats for video conversion (AVI, Mpeg, Mpeg4, DivX, Xvid, MOV, WMV, WMV HD, DV, MKV, MP3, OGM and more) and create DVD Menu and add subtitles to DVD Videos

    Free download from Official website:

Hope it is helpful for you.
