I just got a new tattoo but have to go in a pool on Tuesday (3 days later) PLEASE HELP?
I will only be in the pool for a half hour. Can I put Saran wrap with waterproof tape or a waterproof bandage to seal it so it won't get poolwater on it?
Ideally I would avoid swimming but I have to go in for my job
would it be better to just call out of work? thy would give it another week (until the next Tuesday?) it would be a week and a half old then
I know being submerged for a long time in any kind of water for a long time will hurt it. It's a very meaningful symbol to me and I'd like it to stay forever so I will probably call out of work Tuesday and cover it the following Tuesday just in case. Again, It would only be for a half hour so hopefully that would be okay.
it's a small tattoo on my inner bicep... I might even be able to keep it above water but the waterproof bandage would be a precaution
Donthatejustteach Thanks for checking back so often :) you're the best :)

I hate to say it but chlorine will ruin your tattoo in a heart beat. Yes you may have a chance if you can stop any pool water from touching your tattoo but you better be quick about it. Tattoo's need to breathe so if you are sealing it from the water it wont be able to breathe. 30min you should be fine but any more than that and you'll be doing damage to your tattoo.
*edit-the more time you can give it the better for sure! I have had clients who have had their tattoos *look* healed after just 8 days. Really depends on the tattoo and the persons body!
**if you can keep it out of the chlorine I would. Chlorine is a bleach and it only needs to touch it to ruin the chemical makeup of the ink. Not to mention it wont feel very good on the wound.
*** No problem.. Im just here to help out. The other poster is right. Protect your investment and it will look great for a long time. I completely understand where you are coming from. My second tattoo was a work related tragedy. The third day I had it I was forced to work outside with no sun protection. Needless to say a $200 dollar tattoo ended up being a $400 tattoo after I had to pay to get it recolored because I caused the damage.

I would have to agree with the previous answer, dont chance it. Good Ink is expesive these days. When i started getting my tat's, i got 3 within a month and by 3 months the red faded out of 2 of them. So they touched them up for nothing and to my suprise it happened again. My skin wont hold red ink, or wouldnt hold it 20 years ago when i got my first REAL tat's. You know, not the indian ink and needle type i had in 6th grade
I got 10 real tats and 4 Jail tats

It's now not fairly as much as us to pass judgement on. If he used to be a "hardcore Christian" then he ought to were a well individual for probably the most side. But he willfully went in opposition to Christian teachings, despite the fact that he knew it used to be incorrect. I do not feel it is reasonable for any folks to make a decision whether or not he went to heaven or now not. All you'll do is depart it within the Lord's fingers and allow Him make a decision.
