I tried restoring the iPhone through iTunes, but it says "this phone is not eligible for restore". What do I do?

One of my professors has been really helpful in helping me get a scholarship and transfer schools.

Is it appropriate to leave a small gift and a card on her desk before I transfer schools? I was thinking something small, like some nice chocolate or tea leaves with a card. I probably will never see her again and she really went overboard helping me, so I would like to do -something- to thank her. Of course I will wait til my grades from that class have been submitted.

I am leaving for college on Sunday. I have been cleaning my room to get rid of clutter and junk before I go. I have taken out 8 full garbage bags and left for work one day with my room almost clean--just the top shelf of my closet was not sorted through. When I arrived home from work, everything from my closet was pulled out and on the floor with a note from my stepmom saying, "go through this." She has this nasty habit of going through and pulling everything out when she does not like how clean my room is, and I have told her and my dad many times that it makes me uncomfortable and that she should please tell me if she does not think it is clean enough. Well I told my dad she did it again and that I was upset, but I wound up putting everything back and going through that top shelf that I didn't before. He told me he didn't know she was going to do that and that she told him after she did it. I come home from work the next day and EVERYTHING in my room is on the floor. Everything from on top of my dressers, all my art supplies, all my clothes, everything from the closet that I JUST put back. She did not tell my dad before or after she did this. I asked him to come up to my room so I could show him and ask him why this had happened. She followed us upstairs (I did not ask to speak with her) and when I said, "If someone doesn't think my room is clean enough, I wish they would tell me instead of going through my personal belongings and dumping them on the floor." She started screaming in my face that I was a slob, I was lazy, she was tired of my bullshit. I kept saying "I don't want to talk to you right now. Please leave me alone." Finally she stormed out of my room, my dad followed, and I heard her yelling at him how I was "her problem." I was extremely stressed at this point, so I left the house to take a walk, despite her yelling "don't you dare leave this house!" after me.

I came back probably 20 minutes later and told my dad I was leaving to go to my mother's house. As I was bringing my bags of clothing and belongings to my car, my stepmom followed me, the whole time telling me I was "filthy and disgusting" and that I didn't "know anything about the real world". I left and went to my mom's.

Now my dad is telling me he thinks I should clean the room up. It was clean before she touched it and I don't think I should have to do it, especially after what happened. This is not the first time she has been abusive towards me (she has kicked me before and it was only with my father's wishes that I did not press charges--now I wish I had) and frankly I am tired of being treated the way I have been at that house.

However, my dad has some of my textbooks that I need for school and I am afraid he won't give them to me if I don't pick everything up. What should I do?

I will only be in the pool for a half hour. Can I put Saran wrap with waterproof tape or a waterproof bandage to seal it so it won't get poolwater on it?

Ideally I would avoid swimming but I have to go in for my job

My parents have my weekday curfew set at 8 pm. This would be fine with me... except I work until 6 pm every day. If I am going anywhere, I get there usually around 6:30. To be home in time, I need to leave around 7:30. This only gives me an hour to do anything...

I am responsible. I do work around the house, I get good grades, am in National Honor Society, on honor roll, have gotten a $15,000 scholarship to school. I win awards for my artwork and I do community service.

How can I ask for my curfew to be extended? I am not asking for a super late time, but even being able to stay out until 9:30 would be great! I just want to stop being treated like a baby!

I work for a large company that has stores nationwide.

I started working there about 3 weeks ago, and I didn't get a time card until just a few days ago, so up until then I had to sign in/out on a sheet. I guess they have to manually type these numbers into a computer to calculate my pay and keep records or something.

So payday was Friday. I worked on Saturday and I asked about my paycheck (it would be my first one). The manager told me there should be one in the safe, but when I went to get it at the end of my shift, he had left already. When I asked about my check today, he told me there was a problem--someone didn't punch the numbers into the computer on time, and that I will have to wait until next payday to get my check. (This means that I will have gone a 4-5 weeks until I get paid.)

I've also been having to stay ~1 hour later than I am scheduled every day. If this was a big job, I wouldn't have a problem with that, but I am a cashier. I feel that if I am supposed to leave at 5, I should be able to leave at 5.

I like the people that I work with and I don't want to leave the job if I can make this work. How can I try to get management to stay on top of things better, and is there any way I can get my paycheck earlier, instead of having to wait the 2 weeks they are saying I will have to wait?

Why does everybody here make a big deal about shock collars?

Yes, I HAVE BEEN SHOCKED BY ONE BEFORE, on the highest level, and it felt like when your arm goes to sleep and you move it again.

If you are against shock collars, are you also against invisible fences? Invisible fences use the same sort of technology.

About an hour or two ago I noticed that my right shoulder really hurts.

It hurts to lay down (I almost cried when I did)

It hurts to turn my head.

Typing is ok. Moving my lower arm is ok.

It hurts to try and do a large circle with my arm.

I have had ice on it for the last hour and it's not helping me at all.
