Christianity practices/principles?

What are some principles of Christianity? How are they practiced today? I have an ethics project about this. For example, the Bible is against religious scholars "doing it" with others. But why did the priest supposedly have an affair with children?

It is topics like these that I need help conjuring up. Thanks y'all!

    The primary principles are perhaps.....

    A. Mankind is sinful and fallen

    B. The law was given but mankind failed to live up to Gods law

    C. God sent grace and mercy in the form of Jesus as an atonement apart from the law so that we might be saved

The Bible never suggests that Bible scholars not marry and have sex. It says for everyone not to fornicate but Pauls commands are clear in the NT. Do not marry unless you feel you need to but if you do, be faithful. Obviously any priest that has taken a vow of celibacy and violated it is worse off than an unbeliever. But that whole business goes back to poor church doctrine on the part of the Catholics. The Bible never says to make elders take a vow of celibacy and Catholicism is known for making their own rules. They reap what they sow.

Catholic priests take an oath and are married to God. So, if they have an affair, then certainly, commandments were broken. But what happens, and over time, the Catholic church accepted those who couldn't live like the average normal person. With an ineffective life on the outside they were lead into the church. Celibacy was sort of their badge of devotion to God and faith. The average normal person got married, had children, and so forth. The clergy, instead, had support of the church.

The sexual urge is a powerful feeling and hard to curtail. You have to probably have low hormones to not be sexually active for a lifetime. There would be a strong need to express their human feelings and kids became an Easy Target. And usually no one believed the charges that a kid brought on. Those charges would be unthinkable. The child would have had to be mistaken or provoked to lie. The hierarchy of the church turned their heads and sent the problems away for others to deal with.

And now, as to save face, the church is doing its utmost to follow the local laws while selling off land to pay for law suits.

Look, we are all just a bunch of mammals. There is very rarely a person who will go without sex during their life. I don't care what they believe. We are sexual beings. The priests know it would be too risky to develop a relationship with an adult, and the urge hits them so strongly, that it's almost uncontrollable to them. Right or wrong, I don't know. I'm sure it feels right to them. Until the guilt, if any, sets in. Also there are hypocrites in religion. They preach about everyone being equal, and then people like my grandparents call blacks "*******". It just makes no sense.

Here's an excellent principle: harbor and protect pedophile priests for decades, but immediately excommunicate the hospital administrator who allows an abortion to save the life of a mother of four living children.

They are all in the Bible since Christianity is based on the Bible. The practices for Christians today are based on what is written in the Bible like helping out the poor and spending the good news about Jesus dying on the cross and stuff like that.

They are very adamant about not committing adultery.

It's one of the Ten Commandments. But they very conveniently forget (or probably didn't even know it existed) this verse:

LUKE 16:18 "Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits

adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery."

Child molesting priests aren't representative of any religion, just like murderers aren't representative of any race or gender.
