It's completely normal. Some women get no nausea or sickness, some only get it at certain times of the day, and the unlucky ones like you and I get it all day.

It should go away around 10-12 weeks, but in the meantime you could try a few different things:

Don't let your stomach go empty. Salty crackers are good to nibble on for nausea.

Travel wristbands helped me an awful lot, they have a ball that presses down on a pressure point and that takes the edge off any nausea - they're meant for travel sickness :) http://www.amazon.com/Travel-Eze-Bands-Wrist-Band-...

Ginger tea is a good one as well, my midwife recommended it to me.

Have a look through here: http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/morningsickness/a/aa...

If no home remedies work and you find yourself losing weight, your doctor could prescribe something for your nausea.

If you are able to eat something that does not make you feel sick, go ahead and eat it. It's better to eat something unhealthy than nothing at all. If you find that you can't keep anything down at all, talk to your dr. b/c you may have a more severe form of pregnancy nausea which they can prescribe medication for. Usually 'regular' morning sickness will go away after a few weeks (or months - it lasts longer for some people). It may help you to always keep something on your stomach - eat small snacks throughout the day so you're stomach is not completely empty - empty stomach makes it worse. If you can do this and try to keep yourself from becoming too nauseated in the first place, it may help you feel like eating heathier foods. Good luck and don't worry, normally it gets better after a little while.

i was so sick during my first pregnancy for the first 6 months. Put some saltine crackers on your night stand and before you get up in the morning try eating 3 and let it settle for a few minutes. Just really try to stay hydrated. My friend could really only eat fruit for the first few months. Thats all her stomach could handle. Dont feel guilty it will get better. Try to avoid milk and such. that could make you feel worse. Keep on with the bread if you can keep it down eat it when hungry.

It's okay. It should pass soon and if it doesn't get some anti-nausea meds from the Doctor at your next appointment. I hear they work wonders.

I could only really stomach toast for a couple days in my first trimester, but did manage to take a few bites of whatever fruit/vegetable everybody else was able to eat.

    Good Luck.

  • Its normal to feel this way hell im 12 weeks and still cant swallow anything very healthy unless its certain days lol. At this time you just have to eat what you can and take your vitamins. Hopefully yours doesn't last as long as mine is but either way good luck my dear and congrats on your pregnancy.

Go to the doctor and they will prescribe you some anti nausea medication. And keep taking your vitamins. Its very common for women to go through this, so the pills will take good care of you. Good luck..
