Abdominal - in the belly (abdomen).
The thoracic organs (heart and lungs) are parts of the cardiovascular system.
The abdominal organs are mainly digestive or reproductive.
The thoracic organs are divided from the abdominal organs by the diaphragm.

thoracic is the chest ie lungs, heart
abdominal is the abdomen ie bowel, gall bladder, spleen, pancreas
the aorta crosses both the abdomen and thoracic areas
